Participate in a Research Study Aimed to Improve the Ergonomics of Surgical Instruments for Orthopedic Surgeons!

On Behalf of Dr. Amy Ladd, Past RJOS President and Elsbach-Richards Professor of Surgery at Stanford University:

You are invited to participate in a research study on the ergonomics of surgical tools. This research aims to identify the surgical instruments that cause the most discomfort or inability to perform a task, and the desire to replace these tools will be explored.

Prior research has highlighted the impact of poor ergonomics and ill-fitting “one-size-fits-all” instruments on musculoskeletal pain in the hand and wrist. Your expertise is vital in advancing our understanding and development of these instruments. The survey takes only 3-7 minutes to complete, and your responses will remain confidential.

Thank you for your time and contribution. Please contact Gaby Smith (gsmith18@stanford.edu) with any questions.
