Orthopedic Surgery Sports Medicine and Arthroscopic Surgery
Tamara Scerpella is a Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is Senior Vice Chair of the Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation, Division Chief of Sports Medicine, Team Physician for the University of Wisconsin Badgers and the Ballantine Endowed Professor of Orthopedic Research. 

Her primary research focuses on the role of youth physical activity in optimizing bone acquisition to promote lifelong bone health. She earned a bachelor of science and medical doctorate from the University of Iowa, completed residency at the University of Wisconsin and a sports medicine fellowship at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore. She was a Professor at SUNY Upstate Medical University before returning to the University of Wisconsin in 2010.
