Letha Griffin, MD

Dr. “Etty” Griffin is one of the senior partners at Peachtree Orthopedics. She has a keen interest in arthroscopic surgery as well as evaluation and management of acute injuries in sports medicine. She has been a longtime team physician for the Georgia State University athletes, and over the years has also cared for athletes from Agnes Scott College, the Atlanta Glory, the University of Michigan women’s teams, the Washington Huskies, as well as athletes from a number of the Atlanta high schools and dancers from various dance companies in Atlanta. She served as a venue chairman for the 1996 Olympics and was on the Medical Organizing Committees for the 1996 Olympic Games. Dr. Griffin has been on the Board of American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the American College of Sports Medicine, the Piedmont Hospital Board, and the Athletic Board of Georgia State University and the Board of Certification of the National Athletic Trainers Association. She has served on numerous committees for the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine and American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and has been the Chairman of the Publications Committee for both the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine.
