Dr Anderson is a fellowship trained solo orthopedic surgeon who practices in San Francisco for the past 42 years. She specializes in complex knee and shoulder surgery. As a Past President of the California Orthopedic Association, she continues to advocate for orthopedic surgeons to maintain independence in practice and survival economically in practice.
She has a special interest in cartilage replacement and restoration and treating knee ligament injuries. She has been listed in Castle-Connelly’s “America’s Top Doctors” yearly from for 26 years in a row. .She is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, Arthroscopy Association of North America, and California Orthopedic Association . She retired from clinical practice in March 2026. She still performs IME and QMEs. 
She lives with her wife of 34 years, has 3 children and 3 grandkids who keep her young.
