Lesley Anderson, MD
Dr Anderson is a fellowship trained solo orthopedic surgeon who practices in San Francisco for the past 42 years. She specializes in complex knee and shoulder surgery. As immediate Past President of the California Orthopedic Association, she continues to advocate for orthopedic surgeons to maintain independence in practice and survival economically in practice.
She has a special interest in cartilage replacement and restoration and treating knee ligament injuries. She has been listed in Castle-Connelly’s “America’s Top Doctors” yearly from for 21 years in a row. Doctors in this List are nominated and selected by their orthopedic peers. She has also been a national speaker on the uses of biologic alternatives to joint replacement including biologics, PRP, ligament reconstruction and arthritis. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, Arthroscopy Association of North America, and California Orthopedic Association is is past President of COA. She retired from clinical practice in March 2026. She still performs IME and QMEs.
She lives with her wife of 32 years, has 3 children and 3 grandkids who keep her young.
